Sustainable Fashion Week ( 27th September - 5th October) is all about challenging the fast fashion system and reminding us why sustainable fashion is important. It’s a chance to reflect on what sustainable fashion means in practice: designers and communities coming together to share skills like mending and upcycling, celebrate pre-loved and reworked pieces and champion ethical production.
If you’re looking for inspiration on how to build better habits into your everyday style, this is the perfect time to explore sustainable fashion vs fast fashion and see why sustainable fashion is the future. Sustainable Fashion Week proves that making ethical choices can be fun, creative and accessible.
We’ve found events all across London so you won’t miss out. Here’s what we’re most excited about:
Update your wardrobe at the QueerSwap giant clothes swap! Bring up to 10 items of gently-used clothing and exchange them for new-to-you clothes which fit your current style.
Plus running alongside the clothes swap is a few different workshops such as: T-Shirt Yarn Workshop £3/pp, Crochet Mini-Bag Workshop £5/pp, Visible Mending Workshop £5/pp
Entry to the event is ticketed but 'pay what you can'. Pre-booking is recommended as last year's event did sell out! Get tickets at Outsavvy.
